Want to get into running ? Improve your physical and mental health and have fun in the process ?

Maybe you’ve tried the couch to 5K app or other running plan on your own and not continued because it felt too hard or you didn’t have the motivation ? That’s because everyone is different and it’s difficult to follow one standard training plan.

With Active Dearne, you’ll be running with an experienced and qualified runner who’ll take you from your very first run (We start by running for one minute!) up to completing a 5K (If you want to – there’s no pressure)

Each run will be tailored to you so you’ll always be doing just enough to see improvement but not too much that it becomes discouraging.

Our new sessions will start the week commencing Monday 10th January. We run from the Cafe at Manvers Waterfront, Wath (S63 7BU) on Monday & Wednesday mornings at 9.30am (We can can be flexible with this to suit)

All sessions are free.

 

WALKS.

Weekly Walks – we meet every Monday at 10.30am at the Cafe at Manvers Waterfront, Wath (S63 7BU) for a sociable walk around the lake, everyone welcome.

 

For those who can’t get to Manvers Lake and live in the West Melton area we also have our one mile “Urban Walk” loop where we start on Shakespeare Road and for fun, walk around the other “Poet-named” roads in that area (Poetry optional!). Times to be arranged to suit.

 

Are there any other activities you would like to do ? We’re always happy to look at and arrange other things so just let us know.
