Ashiana Sheffield

Group Aims & Activities

Ashiana Sheffield works with Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) adults, children and young people to escape violence and abuse and specialise in those areas of abuse which are most prevalent within BAMER communities such as domestic and sexual abuse, forced marriage, female genital mutilation, human trafficking, gang violence and ‘honour’ based violence.

Ashiana believes that everyone has the right to live in a safe environment, free from fear and harm. We have over 30 years’ experience in providing high quality, accessible services, tailored to meet the needs of women who have experienced or is at risk of experiencing violence and abuse.

We provide practical and emotional support in a holistic, gender and culturally sensitive way as well as accommodation for women and children who have survived human trafficking.

Although we are based in Sheffield, we provide support for BAMER women and their children across the country, providing outreach support to male and female survivors of Human Trafficking across Yorkshire and Humberside, North East, East Midlands and the North West England regions.
