Group aims & activities
The Trust Deed says that grants can be made “towards the provision and support of facilities for recreation with a view to improving the conditions of life of the inhabitants of the Parish of Aston cum Aughton”. Grants cannot be made to relieve public funds, but may be used in supplementing or enhancing public schemes.
Local residents, clubs and organisations may apply for grants for specific projects at any time by sending details in writing to the clerk, Mr. T. Drury, Aston cum Aughton Recreational Charity, 29 Chatsworth Close, Aston, Sheffield S26 2GA
Trustees judge each application on its merits, bearing in mind the aims of the charity. They will take into account the financial circumstances of the applicant, the likely benefit to local residents, and the funds available at the time of application.
Details should include a good description of the project or need, timetable for implementation who will benefit, other anticipated funding sources/ grants, and how much will be provided from the applicant’s own resources. Also give details of the status of the applicant (Individual, club, charity, public body) and full contact details.
