    Group Aim

Barnsley and District Animal Welfare (BADAW) was formed early in 2008 and achieved registered charity status in February 2009. Our charity registration number is 1128029.

We rescue abandoned and unwanted dogs with the aim of finding them new, forever homes. Unless already seen by a vet, stray dogs normally receive a veterinary health check at Churchfield Veterinary Centre in Barnsley. They are treated against fleas & worms, are microchipped, vaccinated against common diseases and are neutered or come with a neutering voucher for use at our vets.

We never put an animal to sleep unless it is on veterinary advice. We are based in South Yorkshire but cover all parts of the country.  If you can’t see just what you are looking for then please keep checking our website as we never know what we will be getting in next. We do carry out checks before re-homing any animal. Please click on the “Adoption” tab to see our information on Adopting A Dog
