Breast Cancer Now:
‘Breast Cancer Care’ and ‘Breast Cancer Now’ merged in 2019. We united to create one charity for everyone affected by breast cancer and are the UK’s first comprehensive breast cancer charity.
As of 1 October 2019, we are known as Breast Cancer Now – the charity that’s steered by world-class research and powered by life-changing care. We’re here for anyone affected by breast cancer, the whole way through, providing support for today and hope for the future. We provide services and support through our website, over the phone and through our face to face services.
The Breast Cancer Now Helpline:
We provide tailored information and specialist support to anyone affected by breast cancer or with queries about breast health. Callers include people who want to know more about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer; people who’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer, their families and friends; and healthcare professionals.
By offering accurate information and the chance to talk openly in a safe and confidential space, we hope that our callers feel more informed, more confident about making decisions and more supported with what they are going through.
Call us free on 0808 800 6000 and usually we’re open:
Monday to Friday: 9am to 4pm and Saturday: 9am to 1pm
Calls are free from all UK landlines and mobiles.
To make sure everyone can contact us we have access to a telephone interpreting service, in over 240 languages, and the Next Generation Text service, prefix 18001.
If you have a question but prefer to receive the information in writing, you can email our nurses instead Nurse@breastcancernow.org.
Breast Cancer Now Activities:
In Rotherham, we run our Moving Forward Course which is designed for people that are approaching the end of their hospital based treatment for primary breast cancer, or those who have recently completed treatment. The course will help you to adjust to life after treatment for breast cancer and is designed to help increase your knowledge, confidence and overall wellbeing. It provides information, support and professional guidance on a range of topics to help you know how to cope with changes, manage uncertainties and establish a ‘new normal’. Expert speakers are happy to answer questions and it’s also a chance to get to know others in a similar situation. Several courses are run over the year in Rotherham.
