To provide a stable, safe environment for clients with mental health problems, to support them to lead fulfilling lives and to promote independence. Browning court have 10 self-contained flats in a residential block. Our Customers can stay with us as long as they have a clear need for our support, are engaged and actively participating in this support and are moving forward towards greater independence, usually they are ready to move on within 2 years. Flats are provided tithed to acceptance and engagement with a programme of support and are also fully furnished and equipped to a high standard.
We offer support to customers with tasks to enable them to lead a safe, fulfilled life and to help promote their own independence. Each customer undergoes a comprehensive assessment of their individual support needs and risks and then work with a dedicated keyworker to draw up outcomes plans of 7.5 hours per week structured support, to enable them to achieve their goals and aspirations. Staff are on site from 09:00 till 20:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00 till 18:00 weekends and bank holidays – outside of these house an emergency management on call service is offered.
Customers receiving the service need to be over 18 years old, and be from the Rotherham or have extensive and clearly defined links to Rotherham. Potential customers are welcome to come and view the project and talk to other customers about their experiences as well as the staff team. We offer regular meetings and organise outings for our customers. We hold social evenings and regular forums for the clients where they can discuss policies and help shape the service we offer to them. Customers are encouraged and supported to engage in community based activities and also engage in our LifeSkills activity development programme run from our other base in Herringthorpe, Rotherham.
