Group Aims

DCRT is an environmental charity working across the Don Catchment – this includes the River Don, as well as connecting rivers. The aim of the Trust is to reconnect people, communities and decision makers back to the River Don and its rich natural, cultural, built and industrial heritage.

Don Catchment Rivers Trust is being funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, to run the ‘Living Heritage of the River Don’ project. This project is supporting the return of Salmon to the River Don, as well as providing opportunities to get involved with caring for and looking after the river and its heritage.

Group Activities

There are many ways to get involved with the work of the Trust. You can volunteer on one of our river working parties, or help with school visits and events. There are also events and activities throughout the year.

Please do have a look on our website www.dcrt.org.uk, find us on Facebook or Tweet us @DonCatchmentRT.
