The advancement of education for the public benefit in astronomy and its associated sciences.

Group activities:

We have a programme of weekly meetings at our own room at Swinton Working Mens Club, these cover a wide range of astronomical and related science sciences.

We own and operate the J.A.Jones Hoober Observatory which is available for use by members (subject to Rules of Membership) and also open to the public as part of our Community Access Programme.

We also operate outreach activities, offering visits to schools, scouts and other community organisations as well as attending local galas.
