Group aims

Redroad on 102.4 FM, is the youth radio station for South Rotherham. We specialise in broadcasting local information, and covering issues relating to young people, playing music that fits the lifestyle of young people.

After being on air for a month in March 2007, Redroad FM covered the schools half term holiday and involved lots of organisations and individuals. In late 2007 Redroad FM was awarded a 5 year radio licence. The team of volunteers started to apply for funding to launch the station. The initial launch date of November 2009 was moved back to March 2010 and on Monday the 15th of March 2010 test transmissions started. The station launched on Saturday 27th of March 2010 at midday with the first show being presented by Aaron Outram.
