Group Aims and Activities
Rotherham in Root: Promoting food growing in the community.
We have community gardens in several areas where volunteers can join in, learn new skills and grow fruit and vegetables. These include:
- a plot in the walled garden in Clifton Park (meet Wednesday morning).
- a community garden at the back of the GP surgery on Rosehill Road in Rawmarsh (Wednesday afternoon).
- a gardening space at Mowbray Library (most days).
- a new community garden at Eastwood Community Centre (Thursday morning).
- If you want to join in any of the activities, help us make plans or develop new ideas please contact us on RinRForum@gmail.com
If you are interested, please join us, membership is free. Benefits include free vegetable seeds and frequent updates on the gardens and tips and advice through our social media pages.
