Group aims:

To enable the voices of older people (aged 50 years and over) in Rotherham to be heard.

Group activities:

We meet on the first Wednesday of every month (except August) from 10:15 to 12 noon at Rotherham Town Hall. Download our list of dates.

We discuss and consult on issues of importance to older people with invited guest speakers. These meetings are open to all older people in Rotherham.

We secure small pots of grant funding to enable us to carry out independent pieces of research and consultation talking to and listening to the views and ideas of older people from different communities. The findings are discussed with our statutory partners and service providers to help inform improvements and developments.

Each year we organise an event on 1st October to celebrate International older peoples day.
