Group Aims and Activities:

SAKA was formed in 1976 to help local kidney patients (and their families) treated by the Sheffield Kidney Institute – whether at the Northern General Hospital or at one of the satellite dialysis units in Barnsley, Chesterfield, Rotherham or South Sheffield – cope with kidney failure, often through financial support where it is needed.

SAKA also helps fund research into kidney disease carried out at the Sheffield Kidney Institute in the Northern General Hospital.
