We are part of a national organisation which pushes for change on causes that matter to us all:

• Protecting our home and local environment
• Adopting alternative energy solutions
• Fighting for environmental and social justice globally

Group activities

Sheffield Friends of the Earth’s meetings usually take place on the 3rd Monday of each month from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm. At the moment we are only meeting on-line via Zoom due to the global pandemic. Please sign up to our mailing list for the latest news and how to meet up on-line. You can also find us on social media too

In 2019 we:

• Campaigned for better opportunities for active travel
• Lobbied Sheffield City Council and the Sheffield City Region to declare a climate emergency
• supported green planning applications
• facilitated a climate hustings in the run up to 2019 general election
• supported the school students’ climate strikes
• took part in a tree planting initiative
• held information stalls at fairs
• initiated planning for a schools’ climate conference
• worked with Sheffield Climate Alliance on a Climate Action Fund bid
