The Methodist Church and community hall in South Anston.
The Methodist church in South Anston was initially founded when villagers began meeting at each other’s homes around 1739. After that they met in a variety of different buildings including an upper room in the Leeds Arms public house. In 1871 the original chapel was built, followed in 1935 by our current building. Throughout our history we have sought to be a central part of the community, our activities are so much more than just Sunday mornings, take a look at everything that goes on. From fitness to dancing to social groups and uniformed services, there’s so much going on. There’s not a quiet day of the week.
