Group Aims
The Archway Foundation, Rotherham, is a charity that helps alleviate loneliness by providing a variety of social activities. This offers the opportunity to meet new people and make friends in a friendly and supportive environment.
Group Activities
Unfortunately there are no activities running due to COVID.
Social Evening
We run a social evening every 4 weeks on a Thursday evening at The Herringthorpe United Reform Church in Rotherham, near the Stag roundabout from 7-9pm. This is run by our volunteers and costs £6 per person and includes door-to-door community transport, entertainment and refreshments. The entertainment includes singers, slide shows and interesting talks about a variety of subjects.
Events and Trips
We aim to provide 2 or 3 day trips per year. This has included trips to the Peak District including lunch and entertainment at The Consort Suite Hotel in Rotherham.
We have a pie and pea supper during the year, and extra activities at Christmas including a Christmas Party and Christmas Dinner at a local restaurant.
Drop-In at Rotherham Minster
Drop-In sessions are on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 10-12 midday at The Rotherham Minster. Feel free to pop in for a chat and meet new people in a welcoming atmosphere. Hot drinks with biscuits for 60p!
