    Group Aims and Activities:

Thorpe Hesley Brass Band is a charitable organisation, founded in 1986 by the head teacher of the Junior school, the late Mr Brian Copley, as an opportunity for children taking up peripatetic music lessons at the school, to continue to play when they moved to the comprehensive. We are now a community band with players of all ages, several of whom have been members for a number of years, and remember fondly the days of Brian’s involvement.

The Band is conducted by Mr Wayne Bostwick and led by Mrs Kathy Attwood. We practice in Holy Trinity Community Centre every Sunday evening during term time between 6:30pm and 8:30pm. New members are always welcome. The band is available to book for a range of events and anyone interested should contact the Band Secretary on 0114 2451792 or complete our Enquiries form
